Fire Test Evidence
NFS are certificated to fabricate and manufacture Fire Doors and Doorsets that meet regulatory requirements to fire test evidence (BS476:1987 Part 22) and EN 63-1. This verifies that our products conform to all fire building regulations.
Our FD30 burn tests are carried out at across a range of UKAS laboratories to ensure we meet exacting standards of testing. Our tested configuration is far more onerous than tested by our competitors and pushes the envelope to offer larger glazed and solid options.
Smoke Test Evidence
Our doors undergo independent UKAS primary smoke testing to EN1634-3 with Warringtinfire. This ensures full compliance with both fire and smoke certification. Smoke leakage performance in many cases is an essential part in the design of buildings and will influence how a fire strategy may be developed. A fire door that halts the spread of flame yet allows the passage of smoke may be considered inappropriate in many circumstances.
The test is conducted using a specially designed smoke leakage chamber, housing a partition to install the sample.
PAS 24 Enhanced Security
NFS doorsets are tested to ensure compliance with PAS 24:2016 Enhanced security performance and all tests are monitored by a UKAS accredited certification body.
All our Security Testing is carried out across a range of recognised and respected UKAS certified laboratories.
